Boron Carbide (B4C)

Boron carbide(B4C) is smelted from boric acid and powdered carbon inside electric furnace with very high temperature. B4C is a outstanding material with remarkable hardness of 4950kgf/mm2, which is even harder than diamond and cubic boron nitride. Furthermore, B4C is characterized with low density, corrosion resistant, high temperature resistant, low thermal conductivity and high modulus of elasticity that make B4C to be very widely used in many different industries.

XMaM founded its special B4C workshop in 1989 and became one of the leading global B4C manufacturer in early of 2000. We built the advanced QLM-200 jet mill, the largest vacuum sintered furnace and imported the "Coulter" particle analysis instrument from USA. Based on its advantage of advanced equipments and mature technology, XMaM has developed a complete series of boron products like powder, nozzle, pellet and other tailor-made products. All the B4C correspond to specifications of the "GB2477-83", "FEPA" and "JIS standards".
